The Ironclad 48 is a custom direct-heat charcoal grill, purpose-built for the cook who wants fire right beneath the food. Hand-fabricated from heavy 3/16″ steel, it's a workhorse built to cook hard for generations.
What sets the Ironclad apart is control. The adjustable coal bed raises to 6″ under the cook surface, and individual removable plates let you set up zone-by-zone heat — sear over here, hold over there, all on the same 24″×48″ cook surface. It's the kind of hands-on live-fire grilling that separates a real steel grill from a box-store cooker. Polished stainless door bands, hinges, and accent hardware give it a clean industrial look that's distinctly Legacy.
Standard finish is the full high-temp black paint system — primer, black base, and clearcoat — baked into every build.
